The Archaeological-Folklore Collection entitled "Nape, city of Lesvos" was launched in September 2001 on the ground floor of the Elementary School of Nape. The space allotted by the Community to ensure the protection and promotion of the ancient architectural parts that were previously scattered in the rural region of Nape, but also to highlight the tradition of the region through everyday utilitarian objects of the villagers .
With the creation of the Collection the long-term desire of the Community residents to keep ancient relics in their remote village was satisfied, so he upgraded culturally and economically. Furthermore, the presentation of ancient and traditional items on the same site highlights the history and continuity of cultural heritage from antiquity to modern times.

Exhibits report by themes:
1) Wind capitals unfluted flywheels and bases of columns archaic from trachyte stone, from the rural region of Nape.
2) Traditional everyday utensils, tools, costumes, animal parts from donations of the residents of Nape.
