Maria I. Mylona was born in 1984 in Kavala. She studied law at the homonymous Department of the School of Law, Economics and Political Science of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. After completing her undergraduate studies, she enrolled in the Thessaloniki Bar Association and initially worked as a trainee lawyer and then as an independent associate in a reputable law firm in the co-capital, specializing mainly in European Business Law and Energy Law. In 2007 she was admitted with a scholarship from the "Alexandros S. Onassis" Public Benefit Foundation to the Postgraduate Program of the Department of Commercial & Financial Law of the Department of Law of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. After two years of academic studies and after successfulpreparation of several scientific presentations in the fields of Commercial Contract Law, Private Insurance Law, Banking Law, Industrial & Intellectual Property Law,Law of Unfair & FreeCompetition, Consumer Protection Law andE-Commerce Law, some of which have been published in print legal and business journals, she has completed her postgraduate studies with the excellent grade of ten (10΄) and she has obtained a Master Degree in Commercial & Financial Law, with her dissertation entitled: "H environmental liability insurance". During her postgraduate studies, she worked at the Department of Law of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki as an assistant to the members of the Teaching and Scientific Staff of the Department of Commercial and Economic Law.
