The Dry Olive, with 180 years of history, started as a tavern at the commercial center of Hydra. Passing from one generation to another, known as Dry Olive, at the square which is oasis for Hydra just two minutes from the harbor, ushers in the tourism arena with great success and dishes, fish and thalassina.

Since 1950 and onwards from the first foreign tourists that came to Hydra, mostly artists, medics, shipowners and french ministers, Dry Elia was their favorite spot. Tourism in Hydra starts from this restaurant.

Hydra's fish and lobsters are displayed to our customers in the outer window on Hydra plateias. The delicious family meals are plentiful and varied. We recommend draft cottage, amazing mousaka, cannelloni, stew and chowder, which are by far the best from the rest.
