You can visit our hotel all year round. "Melition" has 8 rooms with central heating, TV and bath, whereas 4 of them have a fireplace as well.

Your day will start with a plentiful breakfast (optional), served in the hotel breakfast room in buffet.

In the lounge, next to the fireplace, you can enjoy traditional wine or tsipouro, cold dishes and pies of Zagori, traditionally cooked. Don't forget to try the traditional spoon sweets that are served.

To find the Leda Hotel is very easy. We are on the southwest side of Mount Pelion, Horto village, 46 kms. the city of Volos. Following the coastal road from the city of Volos, will search for the passage Argalasti (which is about 40km away from Volos). Then will follow the path of Milina and at 6 km from Argalasti and on the main road you are right in the grass and the Leda Hotel. Our roots

In Messinia, the olive tree—and the entire cycle of its life, from planting to production—has uniquely shaped the local culture. From generation to generation, the care of the olive tree and the production of olive oil have been an inseparable part of family life. The way of cooking, the salad dishes overflowing with olive oil, and the lively conversations in the cafés about cultivation methods are experiences shared among local producers.In this spirit, two childhood friends from the same village, Dimitris and Giannos, envisioned bringing the exceptional taste experiences of Messinian extra virgin olive oil beyond the borders of the region.

How Sikos Extra Virgin Olive Oil Was Born

Sikos Extra Virgin Olive Oil was born as an idea in 2021, when Dimitris and Giannos decided that the exceptional Messinian Koroneiki olive oil they had enjoyed since childhood—and which local producers chose for their own families—deserved to be tasted by olive oil lovers in other parts of the world as well.

The name “Sikos” is of ancient Greek origin. During classical times, the protection of olive trees—the sacred trees of the goddess Athena—was a principal concern of the Athenian state. The sacred trees were enclosed by a wooden fence called a “sikos,” and were regularly inspected. Every month, the Areopagus sent caretakers, and once a year, inspectors, to ensure that the olive trees were in good condition. Anyone who caused damage to these trees or violated the “sikos” was considered sacrilegious and was severely punished.

Our Olive Mill

With respect for tradition and guided by modern know-how, our olive mill in Loutro, Messinia, operates each year producing a significant volume of high-quality olive oil.The close connection between the packaging facility and the mill allows full control at every stage of production.The extraction process takes place at low temperatures, ensuring that all the aromas, nutrients, and precious qualities of the olive oil remain intact.

At our olive mill, a mosaic decorates the wall at the main entrance — a symbolic piece that inspired our company’s logo.

We believe in the value of community and actively support small local growers in Messinia.
