The museum exhibits historical and folklore material of Eastern Thrace, Eastern Rumelia and Western Thrace period 1800-1950, there are exposed mainly authentic rural and urban traditional Thracian costumes, sacred vessels, agricultural and professional tools, musical instruments and household effects. The most important exhibits are traditional Thracian costumes and the most important activities of the Association are the temporary exhibitions, cultural events and run educational programs. The purpose of the museum are the visitors, locals and foreigners, to learn about the history of the region, the uprooting of the unforgettable home, lifestyle raw refugees inhabitants of Nea Orestiada, the tradition of the region and the instruments used for n 'face the difficulties of their first settlement.
