The Archaeological museum of Ios housed st the Amoiradakeio Mansion (neoclassical building located in the center of Ios Town). The museum includes antiquities from surveys, excavations and surface, that the Archaeological Service conducted (KA Ephorate of Prehistoric and Classical Antiquities) from 1980 onwards, from the Old Archaeological Collection which was founded in 1904 through activities of the filarchaeologist mayor Fragkoulis Kortesis from supplies and donations.
