Due to the damage caused by the earthquake of May 24, 2104, the second floor of the museum with the exhibits of historical times, will remain closed to the public until the damage is restored.
The permanent exhibition of the Archaeological Museum of Lemnos, housed in two-storey traditional building of the 19th century., Was opened in 1993 and includes findings from the excavations of the Italian Archaeological School in Poliochni Kaveirio and Hephaestia and excavations of the Ephorate mainly Mirina.
