The exhibition material comes from Mycenae and places that have been investigated in the region and represents all the periods of use of the area from the beginning of the Bronze Age, around 3000 BC and the Hellenistic period, 2nd century. BC The are 2,500 exhibits, mostly clay, and metal, stone, miniatures, jewelery, ivory carving and murals.
The exhibition material is distributed in four independent modules, structured thematically and time. The first two relate to the Bronze Age, about the life of the Mycenaeans and the posthumous life, the third, the use of space in historical times and the fourth, the Mycenaean civilization.
