The Museum of Poligiros, unique in Chalkidiki is located on a forested land in the west entrance of the city.
It was inaugurated in 1970 and the building plans were created by Dimitris Fatouros.
In its halls representative archaeological finds from all over Chalkidiki are being hosted and give an overview of the area since prehistoric times.
The exhibition is structured into four main findings sections developed along a main axis browsers, starting in the middle of the vestibule.
These modules include groups discoveries from Olynthos, Toroni and the main positions or famous cities of Halkidiki as the sanctuary of Ammon Zeus of ancient Afitos.
