Welcome to the Livadioti Estate

The Livadioti Estate is located in Marathousa, Halkidiki and is traditionally active in viticulture and wine production.
Next to the special homeland of Aristotle, in Northern Halkidiki, overlooking Mount Holomontas, lie the vineyards of the Livadiotis estate.

The Livadioti family has known for a long time that in the area from antiquity there were vineyards, which produced high quality wines. So from 1978 they decided to deal with and bring back to light the glamor and fame of the region in wine. The idea for the construction of the winery has always existed, for 30 years now we have been traditionally winemaking the grapes of the estate. The construction of the modern, visitable winery was completed in 2008.

The vineyards of the Estate that extend to 120 acres, host the Greek and international grape varieties such as Assyrtiko - Malagouzia - Chardonnay - Sauvignon Blanc - Syrah - Cabernet Sauvignon - Merlot. The low acreage yield and the modern way of cultivation, in combination with the mechanical equipment, of the latest generation of the winery, result in the production of high quality wines.

The owner of the property is Athanasios Livadiotis. Farmer by profession, born in 1964, and permanent resident of Marathousa. He comes from a rural family and from a young age is engaged exclusively in agricultural enterprises. Loving nature and his work, he made sure that all his activities were in harmony with the environment and not harmful to it.

Our visitors have the opportunity to tour the vineyards of the estate from the paved roads that exist between them and to get acquainted with all the basic principles of viticulture, from planting to harvest.

HISTORY
Koroniotis Winery | Panorama Argolida Winery

Kyriakos Koroniotis was born in Argos in 1958. He studied Chemistry and Natural Sciences in England and the Netherlands and then worked in various laboratories as a chemical engineer, gaining experience in Agriculture, the food industry and oenology.

Upon his return to Greece in 1990, he founded an Agrodiagnostic center where he dealt with soil, wine and plant nutrition analyses, while at the same time he created 2 vineyards, one in Mycenae Argolida with the Assyrtiko variety and an experimental one in Panorama Argos with various varieties.

In 1999 he started working on his dream of vinifying his own wines in a privately owned winery and a year later in 2000 the need to express his creation and love for wine became a reality with the establishment of the winery in Panorama Argos.

He is dedicated to quality and personally guides the winemaking process from bud opening to harvest to bottling. At the same time, he carefully maintains the vineyards in excellent condition using his agricultural and soil background.

As owner and winemaker, Kyriakos Koroniotis, creates the wines to achieve an authentic Greek style with a depth of concentration of fruit and flavors.

An Agricultural Fishery Cooperative is established under the name “FISHING COOPERATIVE OF STILIDA AND MALIAKOS GULF - MALIAKOSˮ based in Stylida of the Prefecture of Fthiotida, where its Administration is located.

The Cooperative was founded in 1963 and has a coastal geographical area in the Gulf of Malia, where its 34 members are active.

The Agricultural Cooperative of Skalochori was founded in 1924 by a group of breeders in the area with the main concern of defending their interests and aiming at the development of sheep breeding, but above all in improving and upgrading the quality of life of breeders and other residents of the area.

AGROKYVES

The Agricultural Olive Cooperative of Kalyves was one of the first cooperatives that were organized and operated in Greece. Already since 1902 there are reports of actions of a group of farmers who led by the phrase "Power in union" saw the benefits of cooperating.

Of course it is worth noting that there are several sources of information about the early stages of development of this cooperative. However, we know in a more general context that after the publication of the "Statute of the Federation of Agricultural Cooperatives of Greece" by the leader of the cooperatives, Socrates Iosemidis, in 1919 and before the 1940s, the farmers' associations of Kalyves used to create to plow the fields with the use of horses.

Then, the cooperative began to deal more with the cultivation of olives.

Over the years, more cooperatives were created in the area. Thus, the Agricultural Olive Cooperative of Kalyves consists of more than 20 families, who believe in "cooperating" and work as a team for the collective interest.

It is necessary to note that the members of the cooperative with the support of the board which operates and develops in recent years, in addition to the production of edible table olives have taken action to produce extra virgin olive oil, which is subject to appropriate controls to ensure perfection of the product.

The extra virgin olive oil Metusia of the cooperative is a promising product produced from early green olives. The fruit is harvested in September-October, which offers a product low in acidity and rich in polyphenols.

The history of the estate began in the mid-1990s in the wider Nemea region, and more specifically in the village of Leonti. The founder of the business, Ioannis Drainá, decided to take the important step of dedicating himself to cultivating the land and producing wine, building upon the family vineyards that had been cultivated for generations.

He established a modern winery within the Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) Nemea zone — a family-owned winery in complete harmony with nature.

Today, the family legacy continues through his son, Christos Drainá, who is now responsible for the business and is dedicated to producing high-quality wines through a modern approach to winemaking.

PRODUCTS

Mediterranean Climate

The estate has approximately 100 acres of privately owned vineyards, located in the mountainous region of Corinthia at an altitude of 300–400 meters, approximately 50 km from Corinth.

The climate is Mediterranean, with no extreme heatwaves, thanks to the altitude and the influence of the prevailing northern and northeastern winds.

The well-drained soil, abundant sunshine, and favorable microclimate ensure early ripening and the excellent maturation of high-quality grapes, with an exceptional balance of sugars, acidity, and aromas. A climate characterized by cool nights and gently warm days allows the grapes to enjoy a long and gradual ripening period.
These conditions are ideal for cultivating our main grape variety, Agiorgitiko, as well as other varieties such as Assyrtiko, Malagousia, and Roditis.
