Papastergiou Miltiadis - Sculptor - Chalandri - Athens
BIOGRAPHY Miltos Papastergiou was born in Larissa. He studied sculpture at the Athens School of Fine Arts (1972-1977), with Professor Yiannis Pappas, while attending the painting workshop of Nikos Nikolaou. He continued his studies at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris (1977-1979). He worked with the sculptor Praxiteles Tzanoulinos for the preservation of the sculptures at the pediments of the Academy of Athens. He designed the award for the Orpheus Award of Los Angeles Greek Film Festival (LAGFF). He has presented his work in exhibitions (Gallery 7, Art Gallery of Expression, Artists) and many group artistic events (Athens, Thessaloniki, Larissa, Ermoupolis). His works are displayed in public places in Athens Underground (in collaboration with the sculptor Theodora Voutsina), in Larissa, Chania, as well as in private collections (Thanasis Michailidis Collection, Emfietzoglou Collection, Municipal Art Gallery of Larissa - G. ART OF FUTURE
Started to draw as a child, paint oil on canvas as a teenager girl and unfortunately stopped it for around ten year. After some event in her life, started to believe in her. "I would love to create the world beautiful for everyone that non of us would be never said again. I would like to see everyone smile. I believe that everyone has own beautiful world and guardian angels. My angels are Vincent Van Gogh, Pablo Picasso, Claude Monet. (...) My inspiration comes from my heart, from my experience and what my subconcious mind is encrypting so my painting is my biography.
