- Today, 40% of the pulp is made of wood (in most modern paper mills only 9-16% of the pulp is made of logs, the rest comes from burnt wood). Paper production accounts for about 35% of logged trees and represents 1.2% of the world's total economic output. Paper is a very important resource worldwide. Specifically in the last 30 years the consumption of paper such as stationery, paper packaging, etc. has doubled and now exceeds 800,000 tonnes. It is typically reported that paper used by four people a month weighs as much as a large car! Recycling one tonne of newspaper saves about 1 tonne of wood while recycling one tonne of printing or photocopying paper saves just over 2 tonnes of wood. This is because kraft pulp requires twice the amount of wood as it removes lignin to produce higher quality fibers than mechanical pulping processes. The process of recycling paper is usually done by mixing used / old paper with water and chemicals to break it. It is then chopped and heated, which further breaks it down into cellulose fibers, a kind of organic plant material. This resulting mixture is called pulp. Stretch through screens, which remove any glue or plastic (especially from plastic-coated paper) that may remain in the mixture and then clean, remove the ink, whiten and mix with water. It can then be converted to new recycled paper. With a view to protecting the environment, our company having extensive experience and know-how in the field of paper recycling, provides the most appropriate and specialized solutions in terms of paper recycling.
